LOL, looks like he might be in a crapper soon.  There coloration pattern changes or get lighter/fades away secondary to neon tetra disease and there swimming is erratic.  I had 10 neons in a 60 gallon and slowly one by one started to die.  So, you got to remove the sick one and put them in differently tanks immediately which you did. The disease is caused by a sporozoan and I don't think there is a definitive treatment for it.
For the swim bladder disease, the belly get's pretty big (I had thought mine neons were pregnant at the time) probably to poor water quality.
In other words, I have a hard time keeping neon.

There is no cure for NTD (Neon Tetra Disease). There are cures for a couple Swim Bladder disorders, depending on the cause.

The most important thing to do right now is to properly diagnose what the problem is. Does the red stripe look faded? Is the swimming motion erratic? Does the fish isolate itself from the school? I would reccomend doing and online search for "Neon Tetra Disease"

I'm gonna be out of town for about a week, so I won't be able keep up with this thread. I hope everything turns out alright for you.

Use the googles newsgroup, it has tons of information.  All you need to type in is neon tetra disease and has all the questions answered for you.

For the first 4 days my neon was ok and swimming perfectly. Then for the next 3 days it was fine in the day but in the later evening its colors would fade and was having difficulties swimming. Today its been the worst and has had problems for most of the day.
