Strings

Hello! I am new here and I have a question.

I am noticing that my new Platties are having some sort of string hanging from their "bums".. like they are constipated. They are very active and happy and eating good, but this is bothering me! It falls off, but it is very long (about 2cm's) and sticks to them for a while. My tetras in the tank are fine, this is only the Platties. *SICK*

lol its just poo, you see it mostly with gouramis, or plecos, (especially plecos)

Are you feeding a constant diet of dried shrimps or krill or bloodworm?

Yeah no big deal, might be a sign of overfeeding though. I was feeding my fish way too much the first month and they were constantly poo-ing. One time my Pleco had a " string " almost 7 inches long!!!!

I think I was probably overfeeding, haha. And yes, they get the bloodworms and other things I will cut back on the food. I think I get too excited to watch them feed because they are so cute how the tetra dart around. *GOLDFISH*
