As i've posted before i have a 20g that I want to set up for a SW tank.....

I am wondering if I am missing anything.......

HEATER 100W Jager Heater - 100 Watt
$37.99

Marineland Power Head 660
$28.99 X 2

Aragonite sand

Salt Mix

Hydrometer

and A SW test kit..

I've priced this out to be around 80$

Is this right or am I missing anything else..

I mean i know the fish...
And then possibly some live rock... just wondering if this is good?

I would personally go with 2 heaters of smaller wattage on opposite sides of tank, instead of 1 heater. I always recommend this as a safety measure incase one of the heaters kicks the bucket you have less chance of a drastic temperature swing, as well it helps prevent hot/cold spots in the tank.

I'm not a fan of the Marineland power heads, I preffer the Zoo Med Power Sweeps as they have a rotating head that creates changing currents in the tank mimicing a more natural environment. (IMO)

And I'm sure all though I don't see listed, you have thought of lighting...?

LR should be a Definite and added once you stablize the temp, Ph and salinity

Other than that it looks like an okay start!

The price for the heater and powerheads seem very overpriced imo as you can get them cheaper online.

I personally use Maxi-jet powerheads and they are best powerheads that I have used and they are reasonably priced also.

I agree with Salty, I like the power sweeps a lot, creates a current effect, and the fish love to play in it. also, I'd consider live rock a necessity, not a probably. its the live rock that makes the nano possible even if you are only keeping fish (FOWLR). good luck!
