alright, anyone who has ever used an ehiem for long periods of time knows what i'm talking about--the long green cords/pipes used to pump water in/out of the canister. the problem i have is that they bend under the weight of the water, and drastically reduce the flow going in/out of the canister. seeing as through the filter has to work harder to do less work, this pisses me off. i always try to set up the pipes so they work maximally, but they always crumple back to their original position. there has to be a better way. possibly with a harder plastic tubing, or PVC approximately the same size, and then use curved ones to connect the pipes to the filter? any info/tips/hints/whatever would be grately appreciated.

good idea, it will have to be a solution until i get around to using better tubing. it's the strangest thing, i've owned two ehiems in my history of fishkeeping, and everyone i know swears by them, but i always have issues with mine. anyways, thanks for the help.
