stupid ? from cichlid novice

for those who have cichlid tanks, and have all the rocks and stuff for the cichlids in the tank, how do you do a gravel cleaning, do you remove all the rocks, or do you go around the rocks, but that would be very little, so what should i do?

I personaly just go around the rocks in some of my tanks. In my 29 gallon, I have the spray bar return verticle behind a large rock formation to provide circulation and keep anything from building up in them.

I have seen several people make whats called an UnderGravelJet (UGJ) system in there tanks. This provides current from the bottom to the top of the tank and keeps anything from settleling on the bottom, keeping it in the water untill the filter can suck it up.

I belive someone on this board recently made one of these and had pictures up of it.
