Substrate Question

I currently have aragonite in my tank, but my live plants aren't doing too well and wanted to add something for them. Can I mix flourite with the aragonite? Also, I read about "Prime First Layer" laterite, would that be better to mix with the aragonite to help the plants? It is eventually going to be a brackish tank, which is why I chose aragonite.

I think you'd be better off with either Laterite or using Flourish tablets in there. What plants are you growing?

I've got anacharis right now and I should be getting anubias nana, micro sword, subulata and more anacharis tomorrow. The only one I'm unsure about is the micro sword, which is why I got the subulata. If the micro sword doesn't work then I'll still have a foreground plant. I also ordered some substrate fertilizer tablets.

The anacharis and anubias won't need the substrate ferts, but the sag or microsword will appreciate it.

Well I just put my plants in my tank and they look really nice. I ditched the micro sword though, I didn't really like it and I wasn't sure if it would live anyways. I planted extra of everything in case some of them don't make it so it looks kind of overrun right now.
