Suction cup heaters?

Am I just missing something or what, I CAN NOT GET THOSE DANG SUCTION CUPS TO HOLD!!!!!!!!!!!! I stick them on and walk in 10 minutes later and their the dang heater is floating in the tank! Am I doing something wrong or what? I had ones that just clamp to the side of the tank but since I am getting a bigger tank and they seem to no longer make any the style I like for that size aquarium.*thumbsdow

There are good suckers and bad ones - and good ones go bad after a while just to keep you guessing.

If you're having problems then replace them with new - it's the only way to get a result.

I wrote to Interpet in Dorking only last week because their suction cups are so poor. Lo and behold they sell them as spares (if you can find them), now do you think they're manufacturing in the need to replace them annually? What a shocking thought!

Not just Interpet though, some of Hagen's suckers are too flat, they don't last more than a couple of months.

THose stupid suction cups are cruddy, somebody HAS to figure out a different way to hook up a heater or something.

I recently purchased LEE's Aquarium heater holders. I'll let you know how they turn out.

Mine don't hold on that well either! I guess this is a common thing, but while they stay attached to the glass it seems like they'll move around on it with the slightest current. One morning I'll wake up and find my heater has slid over to the other side of the aquarium!! That sucks!
