i currently have a fluval 1000

i am converting this to marine

it holds 42.3 us gals
and it holds 35 uk gals

the measurements are 100 x 40 x 40

i want to do fowlr

i currently have a fluval 3 + internal for filtraion

i am going to use a red sea prizm skimmer

also argonite sand

i am presuming i may need other jets in the tank is this the case?

stock wise i am wanting to put in two false percula clowns

and a few other fish suggestions please

also what type of clean up crew would i need i can get 12 turbo snalis and 12 red legged for fifty quid but would this be too much for a tank this size?

i have space for two 18 inch bulbs what sort of lighting should i put in ?

all help gratefully recieved will get some pics up when i get going

Clean up crew is fine, you might want to add a brittle star or two. Get 50/50 bulbs for your fixture. Gobies, cardinalfish, damsels would all be fine candidates for your tank.

50/50 bulbs are half actinic and half of a whiter light not sure on the color temp. Sam might know. I like coralfie bulbs, but there are many brands.

I would get a sand sifter star to keep the aragonite stirred up. I like sailfin algae blennies to keep down on hair algae. Plus they are very smart looking.

personally i wouldnt use the media in the 3+ if you have enough live rock and sand plus a skimmer you should be pretty all set as far as filtration goes and i would just use the filter more for water movement, thats what i did and it works fine
