i been breeding convicts to feed to my oscar. there is one convict imparticular, he cant seem to catch. its only been about 3 days and i was starting to wonder, what if. somewhat i believe in karma, maybe if he survives to a nice size i should let him live in there. i think its kinda funny to see him lurking about the tiny spots of the aquarium snickering like at the O. i figured as long as there is no aggression im gonna leave him there if he doesnt get ate. i think the eel may be eating some of those feeders too, who knows.

I've actualy heard several people claim that their oscar's have pets. (meaning that they didn't, or couldn't, eat a particular feeder fish that was put in for it).

But I wouldn't get to attached to it. It is an oscar after all, and I wouldn't be surprised if one day the convict was gone. It may just not be hungary enough right now.

BTW- just wondering if you are suplimenting the oscar's diet with something more than just feeders. They need more nutrients and a better ballanced diet. Gut loading the feeders will help some, but I'm a beliver that they do need additional sources of food.

oh yeah, he gets flakes, floating pellets, shrimp pellets, some fruit every now n then and veggies. on thanksgiving he even ate some turkey. im going to get some small grapes today at the store to, i heard my friends O really love them. he only gets feeders when the convict fry are big enough, these are his first batch. i catch some moths and lady bugs every now n then too, he really likes the moths.
