Hi,

Came across your post because 2 of my clown loaches started acting a bit strange and appeared to be going into "courtship phase". I have a small shoal of 5 happy nutters who coexist with a load of central and south american cichlids in my 6 x2 x 2 tank . They must be about 3 years old and are well fed on the big boy's detritus (everything from beef heart in gelatine to peas to doromin) and 2 of them just started acting out of fashion (even for a clown loach !). They have lost their colour and are shimmying, jaw locking, rubbing against each other, their gill rate is up ( rest of the tank totally fine), chasing other fish away and "claiming" a pit and wood (from some salvinis eek: ).

Any ideas ??

p.s. you don't think they learnt this from the cichlids do you *laughingc:
