  I bought an Eclipse.  It is only a 3-gal.  I installed everything and it seemed fine.  After about a week of it looking great, I woke up one morning to an incredibly white cloudy haze throughout the tank.  I only have 1 Beta fish in it.  I removed the fish, then emptied the tank and replaced the water only to find it cloudy again.   There was all kinds of stuff floating around.  Some of it even looked like tiny cotton balls.  The tank system is SUPPOSED to have a great filtration system, but ????

Any thoughts? :-/

Thanks,
Newbie

If I had a dollar for every person that asked about this...<G>

Okay, the white cloudy is normal to have in a brand new fish tank. In fact, it is called "new tank syndrome."  The bio-wheel on your Eclipse has yet to culture all that happy bacteria to keep your filtration top-notch. In fact, all that white cloudy haze...that's the bacteria.

This haze should go away by itself within two weeks or so. Do a 1 gallon water change on that tank weekly to keep your ammonia and nitirte levels low until the cloudiness has gone away.
