This is kind of a silly question, but I was wondering, should I turn off the tank light at night? or leave it on at all times...does it help the fish or is the light really only for looking at them...?
Dont leave the lights on for 24 hours. The fish need some rest too.If u have live plants then leave it on for 10 to 12 hours max. But if you dont have any live plant then 8 hours is more then enough.
Ya, your fish do sleep too! Also, if you do leave your light on too long, there could be a major algae build up in your tank and that would not be good.
