Tank Placement

Hey recently i've moved my bedroom into the basement. I want to move my tank down there aswell. There is a glass double door leading out to a flight of stairs up the garden so there is some natural light. Its always cool and never gets too hot or anything like that.

Do you think this is a wise idea, if not are there any things you can recommend to keep the tank healthy in this environment?

As long as the tank is heated, filtered, and the parameters stay stable you should be fine.

keep it out of direct sunlight as well, which will only increase algae growth

The basement is probably the most temperature stable room in your house.
The aquarium will be fine, just maintain the tank temp.
