so i come home yesterday to find my 50 gallon tank center brace had gave out, and the tank had a "belly". i didnt know glass was that flexable i wanna say it flexed like inch i didnt measure so give or take a bit. so i had to set up an e-tank and drained almost all the water out of the tank just left enouf to keep the plants wet. so after a bit of research, mostly on what kind of silicone to use, im going to try to fix the tank today. if anybody has already been thou this any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. so ill keep you guys up to date on the this issue. im just glad the glass didnt give imagine 50 gallons of water in your living room floor and to make things worst im the 2nd floor.

got the tank siliconed together yesterday wasnt too bad hardest part was finding
something to hold the glass (center brace is made of glass) in place while it dried. i used aquarium safe silicone i bought at home depot came in a lil tube so i didnt even need a caulking gun. so tonite im gonna fill the tank hopfully everything goes well. only thing im bummed about is that my eel jumped out of the tank i temporarily had set up for it so he/she didnt make it, if you ever plan on keeping an eel make sure your aquarium is covered. they are escape artist mine got out throu one of those premade holes that (i think) is soposed to be for the heater.
