Tank Setup Fish list

For my 29 gal, if it stops freakin leakin:

1 - Blue Gourami (Trichogaster trichopterus)
6 - Tiger Barbs(Puntius tetrazona)
3 - Dwarf Puffer (Carinotetraodon travancoricus)

Im not sure how that would go because all the fish listed could be kinda nippy. I would wait on another opinion than mine but i would say that isnt going to work out to good...

I think that those barbs and puffers would tear each other up, and that poor gourami probably wouldnt stand a chance

wont the barbs stick to themselves since there is enough of them? And the gourami was added just as some flavor, didnt really plan on addin him until later, but jsut a though

Yes i know they are all nippy, and web sites have said that they would do better with other agressive fish.

I think the puffers would be okay if you had caves and places for them to hide in. Getting plenty of food might also help with them. When mine is hungry he swims around the tank looking for food but yours could turn torwards other tank mates. I don't know anything about the other fish other than the barbs can be nippy. Maybe a school of tetras would work better?

i'd just have in the tank:

4 pencil fish
8 lemon tetras
20 cardinals
& 4 cories

one piece of driftwood and heavily planted, being sure to include java fern and moss.

Bloodfins would be okay. I have 4 bloodfins in with my puffer. I love the red they add to the tanks. Just watch them during feeding time. They can get a little wild if they think a cute little puffer is taking there food=)
