TANK TEMPERATURE

I've heard so many different recommendations. I'm confused. What temp is best for most fish. I am thinking from 75ish or78ish to 82??? help please.

It depends so much on which species you wish to keep. Some of my tanks are allowed to remain at ambient temperature (mainly goldfish, with some of the fancies' tanks having a heater set to not allow the tank to go below 65), some are kept at 74, others 76, 78 or even 82.

My tetras, cories and loach are set so 79.
Usually somewhere between 74-82 is the range.
But always look into the recommended temp for each fish.
The PROFILES are a good place to start.

Mine sits around 77-79, In the "Introduce Yourself" forum, you said you have a couple goldfish, those would require a little lower temp.

Yup decided to get one since I hated waiting for the temp read on the side window ones.

mine are 82 for the bigger tanks and then for the small tend to be around 76-80

but it mainly depends on the fish that your keeping. for livebearers id keep it at 76-78
