Hi pplz! I'm back! I haven't been on here in a while and just thought you should know what's going on with my fish!
OK, since I was last on, this is what has happened:
1. One of my silver mollies may be pregnant, but you know, mollies... XD
2. My betta jumped out of the net while I was transporting him to another tank, and he landed on the desk, then the computer, then the carpet. I carefully picked him up, and dumped him back in the tank. He was completely fine!
3. About a week and a half ago, I went to a picnic at a park for my mom's cousin's college graduation. This park has a pond where people under 15 can fish. This pond dumps out into a small stream that goes who knows where. In this stream were baby minnows, the next generation of the ones living in the pond. I caught two of the babies, put them with some of their water in the carrier I brought (just for that reason XD), and took them home! I had originally planned to catch a mudskipper or two, but they were too fast and blended in too well with the mud. (Just to let you know, I now have ANOTHER tank that I was planning on making into a mudskipper tank).
Anywho, I have two tiny baby minnows that have adapted well to living in 'civilized' fish life! They love the normal fish food, and they are mostly transparent so I can see when they need food! XD
They are living in the carrier, but they have a plant, 2 rocks, and a bubbler to keep them company. I thought that they would probably get sucked up in the filter, so not only would an air stone keep the water aerated, it would keep the water circulating!
Once they get bigger, they will probably live in the spare 10g, but right now they are living in an estimated 1/2g.
Anything I should know about the minnows?
Thanks!
