tank with no gravel

After keeping an arowana in a tank with no gravel i don't want to use it again. Is a tank with 3 tinfoil barbs and no gravel a bad or good idea

I always think somewhere for the fish to hide is nice (for the fish stress levels)- not really anything to do with gravel....
Should be fine without- my Discus tanks are bare bottomed....

I dont have any gravel in my discus tanks either and I like it! Boy can you can the tank nice and clean.

Gravel is not really nesseccary in a tank! I sometimes want to renovate my 90G planted to bare bottom and used potted planted instead. Maybe someday!

On the other hand, gravel does give the tank more a 'natural' look (that is if you stay with natural colors). I guess it is you choice.
