Hello all! Its been forever since I last posted here, but everything is doing great in the new 30 gallon. I decided a few weeks ago that I would set back up the 15 so I when to aquabid for some options.
I am interested in wild type fish and I came across the Tequila Splitfin or Zoogoneticus Tequila. I saw that it get a few inches in length so I decided that 15 gallons wasn't quite enough for a good sized population.
Because all i have in the 30 is a bunch of endlers, I decide I could take some out and put them in the 15, then sell the rest to a lfs near me. This leaves me a fully established and set up 30 gallon for them.
Now for the questions. First, our water is fairly hard, in the upper 7's (7.8 or 7.9 ish). I heard they prefer softer water so will they cope fine?
Also I have cherry shrimp in the 30, will they be bothered? I can easily move them as well, but its a large task to find them all.
Will a diet mainly consisting of flake food be alright with occasional "treats"?
I couldn't really find much about them and they are spectacular fish so possible links to information sites would be fantastic! Thank you!
