I have a 10gal tank with a red eared slider (turtle), a blue gourami, and a chinese algae eater. They all get along pretty well currently. I tried to add a gold gourami, but my blue gourami chased him around the tank and attacked him until he was pretty damaged. I put the gold into a separate tank (more like a bowl) until he settled down, and tried to re-introduce him by placing him in a bag and putting it in the water, but the blue tied to attack him through the bag. After a day of that, I gave up.
Is there any way to get these fish to get along? The blue gourami seems to get along with every other fish I put in the aquarium (mostly feeders for the turtle), but took a disliking to the gold gourami. Is it maybe because they are a similar species, or similar size (everything else has been smaller)?
