Just a quick question here. I have the aqua pharm. nitrate test kit and I was wondering if a dechlorinator/ chloramine remover (start right---by Jungle) could give me innacurate results in a test. My nitrates before a 5 gallon (20%)water change were really high (I forget exactly how high but it was at least more than 40 ppm) and now they are only 5 or so. I have no plants or any other way to export the nutrients in the water so I have no clue why it would be so low this time. Any help?

did you check the expiration date? is it close to expiring? What do you use for your dechlor? I think Amquel has some disclaimer that it will affect test kit readings..not sure if you use Amquel.

edit: oh sorry. I see you are using the Jungle product. Not sure if it will affect the readings but you can check their website and see..
