Hello,

As I went away for a week I put a tetrafin holiday food block in my aquarium with my two Oranda fish and in a small tank with their fry. What struck me is that in both tanks the water was very clear. Usually the adult tank gets very cloudy with the food I normally feed them, which is Tetra goldfish gold Japan. This make has made my fish grow really fast but although it says it has a clean and clear water formula, I think it does the complete opposite!

I was wondering if holiday blocks can be used routinely instead of every day food.

well for starters they are designed to nulls there appetite and may causes bloatedness in the fish, aswell as constant use can be very bad for water quality as the protein is a different strain of amino acids, and besides IMO why keep these lovely fish if not wanting to feed them everyday and have that sweet few moments between fishies and fishkeeper ha ha ;-)
