A quick thanks to everyone who helps on this beinner board. Since I spent a lot of time reading everyone's post, I was well informed about the cycle and how to start my tank and keep my fish happy. To date, I have only lost one fish, a panda cory, which was one of my later purchases and probably died of something other than water conditions. I now have over 20 fish in my 50 gal. (along with a bunch of shrimp) and they are happy campers (besides the water being brown, which I'm slowly addressing with AC in an extra filter). For others like me, please read as much as you can and practice what you read. For the experts out there, thank you.
