A new species...the Boomerang Beaudreax Fish! LOL
I just hope he's not thinking "a little plumper and he'll make a nice snack..."

But, Pepe knows that Beaudreax is the boss, but like any young gun, he will sometimes push the limits. It's quite interesting actually. When we feed them their pellets, Beaux attacks them, but Pepe won't go up to the top of the tank to get any. Instead, Pepe scavenges behind Beaux sucking in the chunks he spits out. Certainly helps keep the tank clean...

Thanks! I think he is really beautiful too. That picture doesn't do him justice, either. It really washes him out. I posted one on another thread that's better (New home for Beaudreax, maybe). The owner of the LFS told me he didn't normally get them as juvies as they are hard to sell because they aren't very colorful when they are young. The next week he had two, a small one (Pepe) and a larger one that looked really beat up. It's even still in there a month and a half later but looks much healthier now (if I thought I had the space, I would bring it home). Pepe's very personable as well. Wants to be the center of attention just like his oscar tankmate!
