These guys (okay, the female) were too gorgeous to pass up when I saw them in the store. The female is actually intended to be a mate for my beautiful adult con, Brutus, but is much too small (1.5" to Brutus's 6") to go in with him now, so I bought the new male to be her mate until she grows up.

Not a bad looking male either...he'll make a good substitute while the female gets big enough to tackle Brutus, lol.

Very nice pair you have there. Is the male about the same size? 1.5-2"? Both have nice finnage.

Thanks guys The male is slightly bigger, maybe 2" or so. He's definitely not as gorgeous as the female, but like you said BV, he makes a good substitute until the girly is bigger. The absolutely awesome condition of both of their fins was half the reason I bought them - and they were in a tank full of about 15 other convicts no less. I had been eyeing up the female for a couple weeks now, but kept resisting because she was so small. Last time I was in though, I figured, I'm going to have to get a small female and let her grow (as I've never seen an even half-grown female in stores), and she was so stunning.
