The perfect powerfilter?

Wouldnt it be awesome to have the acquaclear with a biowheel, that conbines both concepts of filters into one ultimate filter, I might try to strap on a biowheel and see how it goes. Any comments?

Canisters aside, that would be the perfect powerfilter. (an AC with a biowheel).

For the 55 gallon me and my parents are setting up i'm useing one AC200 and one BIO-Wheel Power PRO 60 its basicly just the bio wheel part and a pump to run it.

Im not sure because ive never had a AquaClear filter but im sure it wouldnt be to hard to mount it on the outflow. If the biowheel is smaller than the outflow use popsicle sticks or something to extend it. But once you figure that out how would you cover it? Wouldnt you have to cut the part away were the biowheel would be?

i was thinking of maybe raising the AC filter and mountin it after the waterfall, so after its all falling the water hits the biowheel, but i dont really have room in the cut out in the back, ill keep thinking. I got a broken AC mini i can play with to get a concept idea before i do it for real on my regular filters.

i said the same thing the other day too.i have thought about doing it but replaccement parts are high where i live.

Why would you want to cover it?
(other than dust/evaporation)
