I FINALLY got one, after 3 months of searching :D He's a little blue cray, and he cost me $14 (Canadian xD)

Not very good pics yet cause he/she is still hiding, but here's what I can see right now! LOL

The flash makes him look brownish, but I assure he is blue!

Without flash:

Happy!!!

Congratulations, Bri! *celebrate
It's hard to say with absolute certainty without clearer/brighter pics, but if I had to guess, I think you might have a female Cherax quadricarinatus! (based on the 'orangish' coloration at the joints on the claw arms)

Brianna,

It's hard to say.
IF it is a N. American blue (i.e. P. alleni), then it is 100% female.

However, I'm not fully convinced that you have a N. American cray...so here's what you need to do...

Check out this page on how to sex Cherax quad.:
Cherax genders

Let us know if that helps!

0NE HECK OF A CRAY!

That cute little cray, sure made my day.As it peeked from it's cave,it had something to say!''My eyes may be beady and my shell is quite hard, and I'm full of spunk and sass. But buddy ,I tell you ,I love this safe tank, where I won't end as lunch for some Bass!''-Good luck with that adorable cray!-D

Haha, thanks for the comments guys! I think it's a she, from the link that BV posted; I can see very light circle shaped on it's third legs.

LOL @ papyrus, that's a cute little poem ^_^ Thanks for sharing! Haha.

Now I gotta think of her name!

Any suggestions?

Hmm, those are cute suggestions (minus the beer battered LOL), I think I might show a little of my nerdy Trekker nature and call her Ezri. *sheepish grin*

She just moulted the other day, and it's crazy to see how much bigger they get after a moult! Also, she's kinda a mix of red, blue and green now. This is awesome!
