Sorry to hear that. I know how that is. I had a ADF that I had had for a couple of months, then I came home and he was dead. He would chase my finger around the side of the tank all the time. So I am sorry that you lost your fish let alone your favorite one.

yeah I know what you mean.

I had a gold dojo loach and he/she had a really great personality and was entertaining to watch, and it was a pretty good scavenger, mine was really hardy too.

My cat liked playing with the weather loach, as it would swim around, my cat would lean on the arm of the couch and hit the glass with her paws, to try and "catch" the loach :p

One day I noticed he/she wasn't coming out for feeding time or at all for that matter, so I figured that he/she either died or jumped out. So this went on for days and I still to this day don't know what happened to him/her

So you can imagine how I felt about losing a really cool loach :(

are dojo loaches aggressive? Do rocks hurt aquariums?

This is my first time posting. :)

I have a gold dojo loach who is about 3 ior 4 inches long. You are right, he has a very interesting personality. We recently redecorated our 46 gallon aquarium with rocks, and he dug a hole under one of the rocks and made a little lair!

anyway, my question is if any of you have experienced you dojo loach attacking other fish?

I have not witnessed anything happening, but every mornig for the last 4 days atleast one or two of my fish is dead-and it kind of looks like a few were nibbled on.

The only other fish I have are neons and tetras and one platie.

We had our water tested and everything was perfect. I don't know what is going on.

Before this all started we also had a much smaller dojo loach, but she died about a week ago and ever since then fish are dying left and right.--and it only happens at night when the lights are off. The only reason I thought it could be dojo was because he is very nocturnal.

when we rearranged the aquarium, we did add many rocks that we found in a local stream bed. I made sure to wash them in very hot water and rinsed them and let them dry before adding them to the tank. I did not use any cleaning agents on them. They have green algae growing on them. could this be the problem??? water tests come back perfect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
