My 6 RT x RT/SS Discus just arrived this morning... I was freaking out all night over them. They had an interesting journey for sure!

Anyway, They're all alive and doing fine :) Can't wait to see them in the tank! (Currently getting acclimatized)

Ask and ye shall receive...

The second picture has the exact color of the fish... Can't wait for the red to start developing :)

They're currently munching on beef heart and black worms! I think thats a good sign!

Acclimatized, that means not all water is created equal, even tho the fish came from within the same province, our water parameters were very different.

So I used a 'drip method' to acclimatize them, I put them in a bucket with the water they were shipped in, and used some airline with a knot tied in it as a syphon, to slowly introduce my water to them. After syphoning about 5g from their bucket (over 3.5 hours or so) they were pretty much already used to my water conditions and temperature, so they weren't stressed when I netted them and added them to the tank.

This is the better method of acclimatizing, the 'float the bag' method also exists, but its a lot harder on fish.
