things keep dying

#2
ummm... clown KNIFE... fresh water. i want to get rid of the goldies... that is the reason they are with the knife. and puffers were in seperate tank. puffer tank temp is 89. knife tank, 80. pleco was with the knife, but much too big to be eaten. water is dechlorinated. otherwise, yes, straight from the tap. but i let the water run till i reach the right temp. im pretty sure puffs had parasites. not sure about pleco though. maybe high nitrates? all my tanks are pretty well established.
i have:
5 gal african clawed frog
10 gal 2 crays
12 girlies (4 female bettas)
10 puffs
5 betta
2.5 betta
29 knife, 1 goldie (was 2) did have pleco

im pretty much not a nube any more. other than high nitrates i cant think of any thing that woul kill my plec.

Sorry to hear about your losses Yahoo.

IMO, 89 degrees seems a bit high. I keep my dwarf tank around 80. Nitrates at 40 are a bit high for puffs too. You should try and keep it at 20 or lower.
