i'd probably do for the green terror over the JD, because although the jack is an aggressive fish i dont think it would beable to stand up to a RD. What about a Jaguar cichlid?

70 gallons is too small for an Rd and a jaguar, plus a jaguar has a weak mouth and iv heard storys of jags jaw locking with RD, midas trimacs and other musclular mouthed cichlids and having there bottom jaw riped off. i might be better off juts leaving her by her self in a 70gal tank, i guess i can try anouther fish but i know shes mean and i think she will try killing it right away.

in a 70 gallon, you really dont have enough space for a cichlid tankmate for your red devil....they grow too large and are too territorial to tolerate tankmates in that tank IMO.

you could go with one of the larger pleco species, which would probably work out ok.

Jaguar Cichlid, Oscar, Pacu, Jack Dempsey, Green Terror, Red Terror, Convict Cichlid. Make sure the tankmate is as big or bigger then the Red Devil.

not to nit-pick with you reef, but:

pacus have NO place in the hobby......they are a monster fish that is better left in public aquariums and in the wild.

the other fish you have listed *could work in a large enough tank, but he is talking about a 70 gallon. i think you may not have read the entire post :)
