Hi i have a 10 gal tank with 2 goldies. and i am toying with the idea of turning the tank into a nano tank.

the question is what would i need in terms of filtration. i have a protine skimmer and i also have a external fluval 305 filter??

for filtration about 10-15 pounds of live rock with a couple of strong powerheads.

What type of protein skimmer do you have, and out of curiosity why do you have a protein skimmer with no salt tank lol?

i was given a comple\at marine sw setup by my uncle who had becom dishartend when all his fish died up so i have a 20 gal tank with two huge packets of salt 2 protine skimmers a peak aquatics cylinracal one and a prizam hang on a hydrometer and a fluval 304 external filter that is running on my rresh water setup. unfortunatly at the tank is a wrid corner tank i have noware to set it up so it is gathering dust under the stairs.*thumbsups

great endorsement for live aquaria

I added some more livestock to my tank yesterday.
I purchased:
  • Red & Black Starfish
  • Nano Soft Coral Pack: colony polyp, tree coral, a mushroom coral (not sure what kind), and a Toadstool Mushroom Leather
  • Cleaner Shrimp

:( Sadly the red & black star fish didn't make the night but after checking the water parameters I called up Live Aquria and they send they will ship out a new star immediately. No apparant cause as of yet, H2O looked good. Maybe it was a suicide.

Tank is coming along nicely now. Will update photos shortly.
