ok... i HAD a female convict with fry convict deciced to take her life last night (i wasn't home) found her today there is about 10 babies left im going to LFs sunday will they be able to survive 1 1/2 days with flake food and if flake food isn't good what would fry food? the

How old & what size? If they're past 2 weeks, I think they'll be fine.

Also, how's she die? Are the fry likely to go out the same way?

um comment on the flake food, grind it up realllllly small in ur fingers or with a spoon or what not. help the fry eat it if theyare tiny.

you told me she was in a 10 gallon tank, which is too small for a convict, chances r thats y she jumped out.

it wouldnt jump out just because it was a 10gal tank, as long as its not full grown (high doubt it is) it shouldve been fine, i have a pair of convicts in a 10gal, yes as adults they need bigger but they can do fine in a 10gal for a while, with 50 1/3 inch fry

its only 2inchs and it did jump out and i bought some liquad food cause i hread its good but ill add flakes as well and a 10G seems big enough for 1 female convict its only 2inchs i dunno why people thinks its way to small it woul;d be if it was full grown

I've been anchoring a well-rinsed spinach leaf under a rock and the fry love it. They just nibble as needed between flake food feedings. Mine have been grazing on the algae on the rocks, too. Seem to be pretty self-sufficient from an early age.
