well, today i bought my live rock. 55 pounds of cured tonga rock. i've got some really nice pieces. lots of big base pieces and a few smaller pieces to work with. i'm gonna let it all settle in and then begin testing for ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. i have to say, even with just the rock in the tank i'm loving this saltwater thing. i bet lots of people would think i'm crazy for just looking at alot of rock in a tank. it's cool though, i've found some baby feather dusters, some snails, a couple slug things, and some type of pod/shrimp things swimming around so far. the water isn't too clear right now, lots of the sand got kicked up but i'm waiting it to settle so that i can rearrange the rocks into a good and stable reef. that's about it for now. one quick question though, should i add some macroalgae to the refugium now or should i wait for the rock to cycle?
