Got a question about the zucchini/lettuce trick for getting rid of snails. What do you do with 'em after? =O Just throwing it in the trash seems odd to me, 'cause can't they crawl out? I dunno, might be a dumb question.
I throw them in the trash, and haven't found any crawling out. I guess you could seal them in a baggie if you really wanted to. Some people crush the shells and feed the snails to the fish.
Depends which variety of snail. But MOST water snails can't live or move very much in the air. So you should be O.K. If you get a few Clown Loach you will have some VERY amusing fish whih eat snails and so irradicate them anyway...
