Some of my TB's have been acting as though there are parasites in the tank for about a week now. I have noticed some flashing off of tank decor, but have not seen any tell tale ich "grains of salt" spots on the fins or body. The affected fish will hide in the corner for a few days, come out to eat, and start acting like their nippy ol self only to suddenly head back into the corner to sulk again. Very strange.
I added more salt and began a Quick Cure regimen about 6 days ago. I have been adding a half dose of QC in the AM and the other half dose in the PM. Is it OK to administer QC in this fashion? I have not raised the tank temp (76F) as it is my understanding that the meds reduce the water's ability to retain dissolved oxygen. I also upped the aeration by adding an air stone.
PH, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia are all-OK.
Could this be something other than Ich?
