Just a few questions.

Does he have any damaged fins or does he have anything on him??
Does he look pale or thin??
Is he eating and interacting with others??
Is he just swimming downwards or in other directions too??
Are any other fish acting this way??

If you could post a picture/video of him or try to find something similar on the web, please do. It would really help.

Oh, that's alright. You were worried about your fish. I was spazing out when my female Betta had Bloat (I had a right to spaz!!) and now she's fully recovered and the sweetest and friendliest fish in my tank thanks to people helping me on here. Glad your Tiger Barbs feeling better. Now that I think of it, it could have been congestion, because when Goldfish get congested they swim funny. Congrats with your Tiger Barb!!

Hello; Glad your tiger is alright. I have seen some of my tigers doing a similar thing. It never seemed to last the way yours did. I do not know what causes it. I have suspected overeating or gas production in some manner. My tigers have done this from time to time. Do not really have any good ideas about how to prevent it.

One thing i do about once a month is open a can of sweet peas and feed them to my fish. Some on this forum think this good to prevent consitpation in fish. I do it in order to give variety in food. My tigers take it with gusto much as they do all other food types.

Yes, peas are good with Goldfish too (very prone to constipation) and the peas act as a laxative. My fish hate peas. lol. I haven't tried to give my Betta any yet, but I think my Platy fry like the peas.

Hello; I get a few peas in a spoon with a paper towel handy. I squeeze the insides from the pea into the water then wipe the shell onto the paper towel. Snails and some fish will eat the shells, but it can take a day or few.
Note - the peas are straight from a can and are not cooked. I have been thinking about trying frozen peas, but as yet have not.
