tiger barbs color

I have one of my tiger barbs that has this whitish look to its body, it looks kinda fuzzy, i wouldn't say cottony, but kind of like a thin white fuzzy film over its body.

My water stats:

ammonia = 0
nitirtes = 0
nitrates = 30

this is my 30 gallon tank in my sig
haven't introduced any other fish in about a month.
no other fish seem to have any problems
even the one that looks bad, is still schooling and eating and right now resting in its usual head down position.

in 1.5 yrs of keeping fish i have never had a disease so i dont know what to do, thanks for your help.

It sounds like it might have some kind of problem with its slime coat. Does it look like it has a layer of slime on it?

actually after closer inspection, it seems that its scales have taken on a kind of metallic green sheen. kinda hard to explain, but its like a reflective metallic color

i tried taking a picture of it,

this is how the camera photographed all of my tiger barbs, with that metallic look, however to the human eye, i can only see it WITHOUT a camera on one of them. understand?

It's only my opinion but it looks perfectly healthy to me.I owned Green Tiger Barbs once and they had the same metalic look when you caught them in the right light.

Yeah, I've been keeping tigers for a few years, and that one seems just fine. At night they usually become much lighter in colour and their stripes look green instead of black. Also happens when they're stressed. Sometimes when tigers play together they tend to randomly grow darker and ligher in colour.

Thats not a Tiger Barb. I'm surprised no one said anything. Thats a Clown Loach. I know what Tiger Barbs look like and they do not look like the one shown in that picture.

LOL yeah they are right there looking at you, along with the loach, theres alkso a clown pleco there as well, also this is a old thread, 1.5 months old
