tiger barbs problem

my tiger barbs are chasing one of my red swordtail. i had 3 but 1 died i dont know it they killed him or if it was the filter (i saw him against the filter screen with torn up fins) and the other swordtail just sits behind a castle i have he(i think) only moves when i feed them then goes back to its spot.

Tiger barbs don't make good community tank mates, and now you are finding out why.

Having them in a proper school will help to curve aggression but non aggressive tank mates will always be in danger when in the same tank with them.

Tiger barbs = biker gang

If they don't have enough school mates, they will try to "recruit" other fish. For this reason, like pure said, they don't make good tank-mates, especially if not kept in groups of 7-10.

well that sucks geuss ill see if i can trade em i have an other question how can u tell the difference between male and female red sword tails? i believe there live bearer am i right or wrong?

Yes, swordtails are livebearers. The males have the "sword" the females don't.
