I purposely kept things simple to put into perspective and emphasize Triton's growth progression over his first year of life in my tanks (the dimly-lit one was a 55 gal., and the 'brighter' one is my current 75 gal.; both are 4 ft. tanks). Each of the photos is about a month apart; thus showing Triton's growth in monthly increments (roughly).

Beautiful fish, awesome looking tanks. I love all the color he on his belly. The slide show was well put together too. Can't wait to get some pics up of my Vinny!!

so is triton only 9" ?
i wonder why meaty grew much larger, and faster? meaty is past 11" now and like 2" thick lol

Yup, Triton is between 9 and 10 inches, total length.
I was always under the impression that you had gotten Meaty at a larger size than Triton, and also after I got Triton---maybe that has something to do with it?

i got meaty june 9, and i beleive he was 1.5 inches

Oh, okay...not much difference then.
Triton's infection may have slowed down his growth a bit for a while there too. I dunno. He's probably just a smaller oscar than Meaty.
