I posted awhile ago about Pemberton, my Tiger Oscar. I've finally got the 55 gallon up and running, and it's spent almost 4 weeks cycling through. Nitrites and ammonia have stabilized, and nitrate is at acceptable levels. As soon as I can get the temperature under control (it keeps dropping dramatically over night, even with a heater), I'm transferring Pemberton into it, hopefully by Monday ( bought the new heater today ).
I'm doing 4 or 5 times weekly water changes right now, and the HITH seems to have gone away just to come back again, even though the water conditions on the tank are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and about 0 to 20 ppm (using strips at this time). Temp is staying at 78 degrees, and pH stays at 7.0.
