OK. Started up a new but smaller tank. Now is 35, was 55 gal. The turtle got the 55 for the width. I want to add some Bolivian or German Blue Rams but feel as though the tank is too crowded. Also, started off as a community tank with mollies, etc but have moved into the semi aggressive tank but still have the peaceful guys. Inventory below. My questions are:

To make room for the desired fishes, who should leave? How do Rams, Gouramis, and Severums get along? My favorites are the Gouramis and Severums, BTW. I might be able to get a 10 gal but if so, who would I put in it? Please feel free to be critical, I need some advice and reorganization of the tank. Thanks. Have: Bumble bee 1, getting very territorial. Should he go bye bye? 1 Buenos Tetra. 4 blue/ gold gouramis. 6 corys. 3 mollies, 2 teenagers. 1 gold sev. 1 green sev. 2 swordtails. 1 bloodfin tetra. 2 common plecs (am looking for a dwarf species to replace these 2), and 2 firemouths.

First welcome!

I would definately get rid of the bumble bee, they really are brackish fish. I would also get rid of the buenos aires tetra and the bloodfin because they really need to be in schools. Severum however get to be around 8 inches when adults. Firemouths get to be about 6 inches. So if you were going to get a ten i would put the mollies, swordtails, and cories in there. If you could get a 20 or 29 gallon though you could avoid proablems later with the severums and the gouramis. You would just add the gouramis, mollies, swordtails, and cories with a 20 or 29.Depending on the size of the severums the gouramis can stay though, only if the severums are small though. When they get bigger the gouramis will need to be moved. Then eventually when the severums and firemouths get bigger you will most likely need to relocate them to something like a 55 gal.

Good luck,

Daniel
