I am currently using a CoraLife Dual Stage timer to turn my lights on and off. However, I find that sometimes the timer for the blue lights sticks and they do not shut off as programmed. It has become a pain in my butt. I was looking at the Ice Cap timers but was trying to avoid having to hard wire the timer in to ballast boxes. Could you fine folks of the forum make any recommendations on alternative products? Thanks in advance.

I just use a digital one from walmart.. I think Brinks makes it.. It only has 1 plug on it so you have to buy an adapter with 3 or 4 outlets depending on how many you need..

I posted this earlier, but meh - programmable digital wall switch timer - seven on/off sets, selectable days. Its a shame I only use it to turn the light on and off once a day. I installed this one in my fixture.

If you feel like doing some DIY it is pretty easy to wire one of these up in an external box with an outlet - plug your box into the wall, and your light into your box.

I have had good luck with the manual ones as well. They seem to be a good deal less expensive too if you buy the ones for lamps etc. instead of ones labeled specifically for aquarium use.
