After 6 months a pair of our jewel Cichlids have finally laid eggs... I need some on advice, whether I should move all the other fish in the tank (1x Polystigma, 7x Other Jelwels, (Parents have killed off 2 already), 2x Barbs and 1x catfish) to another tank, or move the parents and the eggs to another tank, do i need to change the water temperature or quality, do i need to feed them anything different and how long will they take to hatch? Any more extra info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Get the pH down under 7 if you want to get a decent hatch rate, and get the other fish out. They'll take about 5 days to hatch, for the rest try to find out about feeding other substrate spawning cichlids like cons - there's a lot to write and I can't be bothered

Could have ate them all. If the eggs were not fertilized and began to fungus, or just fungused anyway, the parents will sometimes eat them.

If they are young, then it may take them a couple of tries before they get it right.

:( I was looking forward to babies. I was starting to be reassured as one of my books states they move the eggs to pits (a lot of pits have been dug in the tank), however if this is not done by mouth she must have eaten them as i saw her putting them in her mouth. Both Parents are now gaurding a certin corner of the tank and mum is still blood red...

Well I would make sure they haven't actually hatched and the fry are tucked down i nthe gravel , though after just one day this seems unlikely.
Eating the eggs is always a problem with loaded up tanks like this, the parent get nervous and decide to cut their losses till they perceive the enviroment as better. If you want this to work you need to get the other fish out.

New Eggs!

We have new eggs just been laid, are there any pointers on how to keep them happy this time? The other fish have been removed from the tank for about 2 weeks so there will be no stress in that area...
