to catch a crab

lets say i want my emerald crab gone. that little reef wrecker. how can i get him without taking the reef apart?

You can send him to me I went to the LFS for one the other day and they couldn't get him off a large piece of LR, the guy was smushing the crabs face with his thumb, so I finally said never mind, how about a hermit?

lol. to get mine to move, (i had to do this yesterday) is pull out the rock he's on, and hold it just above the water, and he will continue to move down the rock towards the water, and eventually drop off the end.

mine was moving rocks . he kept waiting to drop rocks on my clown, he did too! little bastard. i took him back after that. the crab was plain mean

Get an extra snail instead. My crab isn't as aggressive, but he can snatch krill pretty fast.

Damnit, now that you say that, mine starts eating my polyps. I have to take him back now. What should I do to stop him from eating it? I guess I'm gonna have to just ultimately take him out for good.

u dunno, but if you wanna cath a crab real fast do what i did, get a clear glass or clear jar, i used meaty cichlid pellets because they sink, put the food in the jar and lean it at a 45* angle with the lip of the jar on a rock so he can get in really easy,, but wont get back out over the slippry glass. it took less than a minute for mine to get there.
