I don't know if anyone is a member of the Ohio Chichild Assosiation or not, but they are holding their annual extravaganza meeting near Cleavland this year.

They are haveing an auction as well as some awesome speakers.

This year, we will have Ingo Seidel, Dan Woodland, Chuck Rambo, Dr. Jay Stauffer, and Ad Konings !
You can't get much better than some of these guys!

Here is the link to the site.

I'm seriously thinking of going for this. Its at the end of November, and the room rates they were able to get at the hotel sound very resonable.

Anyone here a member, or thinking of going?

I know quite a bit of the Charlotte guys are heading up there. Always a big weekend for them.

I would definently check it out Orion, what i hear after each one is great stuff. Our monthy meeting for November was scheduled AROUND the OCA Extravaganza if that gives you any idea.

Tons of nice fish up for auction, a good show with beautiful fish. I think Aaron (verse914) usually goes...and takes lots of pics of the show fish.

Ad Konings, MAN! I wish i could hear him speak! Thats Africans to the max!!

haha, yeah the only bad think is that Konings is scheduled to speak about central americans. But hey, it would still be neat to hear him speak.

From the sounds of it then I should deffintaly try to go to this.

Are you going to make it up Matt?

hmm, I wonder if I brought my BTN Tanganyika book if he would sign it? lol

Aww too bad guys. It would be neat if members of MFT were able to meet up at something like this. I know if you turned me and C-man loose at a cichlid convention we may not be back for a long time. LOL

you guys are closer to it that I. Its a little under 2 hours for me to get to cinci, so to make it all the way to Cleavland would be quite the drive. hey, but probably worth it. :)

It was definitely worth the trip. It was a 3 1/2 hour drive for me. We left at 5am Saturday morning and went home at 11:00pm. I got to see alot of people I met last year and saw some cool fish. I even got to chat with Chuck Rambo. I saw Ad Konings...I was going to stop and ask to take a pic, but it looked like he was in a hurry, so I didnt want to bug him...he is probably tired of cichlids ;) lol, jk.

Sweet thanks for sharing Verse!

Yeah, I think we may try to start planning now and hope to make it next year. I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find some distant relative or friend close that we could stay with. ;)
