too many fish?

I have a 55 gallon im going to setup this weekend. I have 4, 3in. long fedder fish and 1 pleco im going to put in it. Then a friend gives me a 12in. goldfish out of the blue today (that or kill it :< ). If i put all of these fish in the tank, will that be to many? Im not going to keep the big one, just till i can find him a good pond. Will this be way to many fish for my 55 gall. tank? Im almost certain the answer is yes. Thank you.

I think it's possible to keep all of the original ones. The golfish probably won't grow to their full size though. I would definitely get rid of the 12" one as fast as you can.

Sounds okay if the goldfish is temporary.

I really got to looking at it last night and its a koi. my boss has a nice pond that im sure the big white fish would just love. thanks for the replys, they are greatly appriciated. Thank you.

Make sure you clear up the red fins before adding the koi to the pond. He could get the other fish pretty sick.
