Too much current?

I've been planning my next step in the journey of keeping fish, and i decided to try just a nano saltwater in my small 5 gallon. ive been doing research for about 2-3 weeks straight, and am starting to get a mental feel for things. I will probobly start to look into pricings of things soon, as i would like to start on this project soon. 1 question i do have is would 145 gph be too strong of a current for a 5 gallon?

that would give you 29 turn over rate which would be fine.

Is this going to be a invert tank or do you plan on keeping fish?

It may be just an invert tank due to the small size, but I maybe want to add a firefish later on down the road? If I wont be able to keep a firefish due to small tank size, I'm fine with inverts then

Don't worry about too much, worry about too little. Your setup sounds fine.

i actually bought this whisper in tank filter...
and am now using it as a power head.. just stripped it down to just the motor... gotta build a cage for it though...
