Would anyone like to give me any feedback as to what tools would be useful over the web for your tanks? I am adding a Tools section to the site and would like to know what kind of tools would benefit my users. What could you see as being useful for that? I appreciate any positive feedback.

Plant tweezers would be the first on my list.

A gravel flattener would be there as well. This could be a simple triangle or a piece of acrylic, or just something with a straight edge to pull the substrate from the front glass and to smooth it out.

Also a colander (strainer) would be useful too for putting water back into your tank. Sometimes when putting the water back in, it can create a current and mess up your substrate or knock your plants out of the substrate. A colander would diffuse the incoming water and no harm would be done.

Lots of old towels, a couple of buckets, and a pair of sharp scissors of course.

Don't forget to discuss a log book, or some other means to record test results, cleaning schedules and observations.
Doesn't matter how it's done - wether it's a web application, an Excel spreadsheet, or a paper notebook - this should be one of the first things a new fishkeeper should have.

Of course, that mho

Guys, guys guys. I'm not talking about actual materials. *laughingcryingsmiley* *laughingcryingsmiley*. I'm talking about actual internet tools that you would use in AquaJournal. Equinom knows what I'm talking about. Sorry, I should have better explained myself.
