Remember that great deal? Well maybe not so great, the filter seems to be a dud. It sounds like its running, and the little spiny thing is working, but its not pumping water through... any ideas on how to fix this problem? Any help from you DIY'ers out there would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you add water inside where the motor is before turning it on?

lol you have to add some water in the motor part before starting it up. Otherwise, your filter won't start. Your Welcome

Most of the HOB filter will do best when you prime it by pouring water in the back. Easy fix.

i have an internal filter in my other tank, never had a hanging one. plus this one didnt come with a box or directions or any thing. thanks for the help!! look for pics of the temporary setting, pinktux2duhprom is posting them currently... thats my bf. i take all of the credit for getting him into this. and maha i know your not gonna like the blue rocks, but we are making due with what weve got for now! hehe
